KIDS Band Photoshoot

I was thrilled to be asked to do some promo shots for the band Kids this week. It was their first time doing a band shoot together and I think they did great! They were very close with one another and

Simplistic Big Band at Harlow's

Sunday night at Harlow's in Sacramento was amazing! Anthony Coleman II lead the Simplistic Big Band complete with emcees, vocals and beat boxing and hip hop and funk mixed with jazz. It was absolutely incredible. I felt so lucky to be apart of an event that only happens once a year. The musicians were so friendly and energetic and I had a lot of fun shooting them.

Spring at last!

Finally! It stopped snowing, the weather turned back to beautiful and I was able to head out of town without a rainy forecast.

A friend and I headed to the San Francisco coast to catch up on some suntanning and explore a bit. It was absolutely stunning out with no fog and no sweatshirts needed. It was a much needed break from previous drizzly days.

You can't go near SF without seeing the Golden Gate!

This winter weather won't go away!

Just when we get spoiled with lovely weather and can leave home without our sweaters Mother Nature steps in and brings us back to reality.

Musically speaking...

I always feel so fortunate to live within blocks of 5+ bars. Whenever there's live music it takes me mere minutes to walk and start shooting. This weekend I joined my friends for Gerald Pease's band as they rocked the house at Old Ironsides. It was the first time I've seen this band preform together and WOW! They were great! Very lively and upbeat, it was fun watching the crowd move to their music. I don't know if they'll be playing together anytime soon but I sure hope they do!

Capital Garage Celebrates it's 4th Year of Jamming

The musicians who play at Capital Garage celebrated their 4th year of weekly open jazz jam sessions. I was excited to take some shots and it was a lot of fun watching the original house band play with some of the newer musicians. Everyone sounded great and it was so much fun to photograph.

A few of my Favorite Things...

It rained a lot this week and I began to get stir crazy from lack of sun and lack of shooting photos. To keep myself happy I decided to start taking close up pictures of some of my own things.
